I’m Dr. Rachel Smook, a licensed psychologist in Massachusetts providing thoughtful, collaborative telehealth therapy for healthcare professionals, college students, and other adults. People come to therapy for many reasons, sometimes because something feels clearly wrong, and sometimes because things feel exhausting, confusing, or too heavy to manage alone.
I believe that coming to therapy when your life is not proceeding in the way you wish is a courageous and important step. It can be difficult or frightening to reach out, and yet doing so reflects your belief in yourself and your desire to build a life that feels meaningful and steady.
My practice is centered around compassion, personal warmth, and care. The work we do together will be collaborative: I bring knowledge, skill, and attention, and you bring your experience and insight about your own life. My approach is relational, thoughtful, and grounded in respect for who you are and how you’ve learned to cope.
I will meet you with empathy and curiosity, and I believe in your innate capacity for healing, growth, and joy even when it feels distant or hard to imagine. Together, we’ll take time to make sense of what’s been difficult and to explore what kind of support might feel right for you now.
